Sir Adrian Montague

Appointed non-executive Chairman of the Company in September 2014. Sir Adrian is currently the Chairman of Aviva plc and Cadent Gas Ltd. He is also a Trustee of the Commonwealth War Graves Foundation. Previous Chairmanships include 3i plc, Anglian Water Group, London First and British Energy. Sir Adrian was awarded a CBE in 2001 and holds a Law degree from the University of Cambridge.

Charlie Cornish

Appointed Group Chief Executive in October 2010.

Prior to joining MAG, Charlie was Managing Director of Utility Solutions, the commercial business of United Utilities (UU) with operations in the UK, the Middle East, Australia, Bulgaria, Poland, Estonia and the Philippines and was a Director of UU PLC. Previously he worked for a number of manufacturing and service companies including Plessey Telecommunications, British Aerospace and ABF.


Neil Thompson ACA, CTA

Neil Thompson joined MAG in 2005, being Commercial Finance Director and then Corporate Finance Director, prior to taking on the role of Chief Financial Officer in March 2011.

Neil previously held senior finance roles at The MAN Group and ALSTOM, with responsibility across businesses in the UK, Europe, North America, Canada, India, Singapore and Australia.

Prior to the power generation sector, Neil spent seven years in financial practice, specialising in Corporate Finance and M&A transactions, latterly with PricewaterhouseCoopers.


Ken O'Toole FCA

Ken O’Toole was appointed as Chief Executive of London Stansted Airport in September 2017. Prior to this he was Chief Executive of Manchester Airport.

He spent six years with Ryanair Holdings plc,  initially as Head of Revenue Management and latterly as Director of New Route Development.

A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, his previous experience includes Musgrave Group, a leading Irish and UK based retailer, and Credit Suisse First Boston.


Andrew Cowan

Andrew Cowan joined MAG in 2013 as Chief Operating Officer with overall responsibility for Manchester, East Midlands and Bournemouth Airports. In 2015 he spent a year as Chief Strategy Officer for the group including Chairing the newly established MAG USA business. In April 2016, Andrew was made Chief Executive of London Stansted Airport and in September 2017 moved to become Chief Executive of Manchester Airport.

Prior to his appointment at MAG, Andrew was Group Chief Executive of Robertson Group, an infrastructure, construction and services company based in Scotland and operating throughout the UK.

Previously he has held senior roles in water, electricity and gas utilities including assignments throughout the UK, Europe, Australia, India and the Middle East and was formerly a director of United Utilities International, United Utilities Electricity Plc, a Trustee of the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme and regional Chairman of BiTC.
